Macroadenoma (MRI) Macroadenomas usually present clinically with signs and symptoms associated with the displacement of the optic chiasm, cavernous sinus, and hypothalamus. These tumours are often homogeneous in appearance, isointense with grey matter on Tl-weighted images and enhance homogeneously after contrast administration (Fig. 24.9). Fig. 24.9a,b Macroadenoma.
